Nahdi’s commitment to Saudization continued throughout 2018, creating jobs for nationals at all levels – including brand managers, accountants, pharmacy assistants, beauty specialists and female production line workers. The company also enhanced its training and development to create senior Saudi leaders. The Nahdi Academy, launched in 2017, continued training pharmacists to build employee capacity and improve service levels for local communities.
Looking to the future
By 2020, Nahdi aims to enhance the lives of 5 million people through health, wellness, education and empowerment programs. It promotes healthier lifestyles through improvements in nutrition and fitness, and wants to substantially improve chronicdisease management by patients. To this end, the Diabetes Corners in the busier Nahdi pharmacies promote effective diabetes management.
The first Nahdi Clinic will be launched in the second quarter of 2019. The company is also expanding to the UAE, where five Nahdi UAE pharmacies are set to open by the end of 2019. A warehouse project is also planned in Saudi Arabia, with construction starting in 2019.
