SEDCO team members are expected to dedicate a set amount of time for voluntary work to help worthy causes. This forms an important part of the Group’s culture and is formalized in employee KPIs.
Under the Badir volunteering program, employees identify the causes they want to support in the broader community, giving pro-bono hours to entrepreneurial startups and community initiatives.
The 2019 target of 2,160 volunteering hours was comfortably exceeded. A total of 353 employees participated in 49 initiatives, putting in 2,423 hours — 12% ahead of target.
