Sustainability is a core element of SEDCO Holding’s organizational culture, and radiates outwards to involve group companies. SEDCO Holding’s Sustainability is inspired by the values of its shareholders and Saudi Vision 2030, which specifically calls on the private sector to be socially responsible.
Volunteering is now firmly engrained in the SEDCO work culture and has been a formal employee KPI for five years.
With active support from the leadership, our employees contribute time and effort to voluntary work for worthy community causes each year. The SEDCO volunteering program has won multiple awards in recent times.
In 2021 we completed all our hours for the year under the ‘Badir’ program. As a result of Covid-19, of course, we had to take social distancing into account and impose new safety measures.
Another highlight of the year was our close collaboration with the Audit department to lead a new initiative, working with non-profit organizations to offer leadership and management assistance. The scope of the initiative included assessing the needs of these organizations and identifying in which areas SEDCO employees could volunteer their help.
Overall, SEDCO employees offered more than 2,747 volunteer hours, between pro bono and general, with an economic value of SR 358,150. Impacting thousands of beneficiaries from different segments of society.
We wish to acknowledge the hard work and support of the entire Audit team for the time and effort dedicated to this pioneering and highly successful initiative.
Meanwhile, demand for continues to remain strong and popular with Group employees. These are great reasons for us to continue investing in and to explore new opportunities.
