Established in 2007, Yusr International Schools is wholly owned by SEDCO Holding. Catering to local and expatriate communities in Jeddah, the school offers the American curriculum, the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) and is one of the few international schools to serve students with special educational needs.

“WE WERE DELIGHTED TO RECEIVE CLASS A RECOGNITION FROM THE SAUDI MINISTRY OF EDUCATION FOR THE QUALITY OF OUR TEACHERS AND LEARNING.”

Saudi Vision 2030 calls for the development of skills to support national growth and to equip a new generation of education providers with the necessary abilities. SEDCO is actively supporting this ambition by providing international quality schooling in the Kingdom.

Over the last two years, Yusr has avoided major operational challenges from Covid-19 by implementing virtual schooling. This has maintained our excellent standards of teaching and learning, for which Yusr is renowned, and ensured that students could continue their studies. Student intake has therefore remained stable.

As a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program, we achieved authorization as an IB World School with excellence. These are schools that share a common philosophy – a commitment to high quality, challenging and international education.

Another highlight of 2021 was the opening of our state of the art, purpose-built new campuses in Jeddah’s Al Shatea district.

Yusr has invested in Fedena, the latest Learning Management System to enhance the teacher, parent and student experience during online learning. Teacher skills development was also a high priority, so a series of training workshops were conducted to enhance IB-related teaching skills and technology in the classroom.

We were delighted to receive Class A recognition from the Saudi Ministry of Education for the quality of our teachers and learning, and the school’s well-prepared campus and facilities, and for a number of Yusr students to win awards for educational accomplishments.

Looking to the future, we will continue to elevate the quality of our educational offering and establish Yusr as one of the Kingdom’s leading international schools.

We aim to renew the school’s accreditation with Cognia – a non-profit, nongovernmental organization that accredits primary and secondary schools throughout the US and internationally – for another five years. We will also target gaining the full authorization of the IB Middle Years Program by 2022 and the Diploma Program by 2023.
